*Callirhoe
There are several mythological women named Callirhoe. The best-known is an Oceanid, daughter of the river god Oceanus, and mother of the giant Geryon in some traditions. Another Callirhoe, daughter of the river god Achelous, appears in the tragic story of Coresus and Callirhoe. The name itself means “beautiful-flowing”, reflecting her association with water.
